Nutrient Rich Food for a Healthy and Happy Lifestyle

Quinoa & Black Bean Burger

8 Patties

Ingredients

1 cup cooked quinoa

½ GF oats

1 can black beans

1 cup mushrooms, I used oyster & baby king oyster

1 celery stick, chopped

2 cloves of garlic, crushed

1 carrot, chopped

½ onion, diced

3 tbsp milled flaxseed

1 tbsp Nutritional yeast

1 tbsp tamari

1 tsp hot paprika

2 tsp sea salt

 

Method

In a blender add the celery, carrot, onions, garlic, celery, mushrooms.  Pulse until finely chopped

Cook this blend in olive oil for 5mins

Place the onion mixture into the blender and add quinoa, black beans, oats, flaxseed, nutritional yeast, paprika, tamari. Pulse for 3 minutes, taste

Add sea salt and another ½ tsp paprika.

Make into 8 equal patties, pop in the fridge until needed.

In a frying pan add small amount of olive oil and when hot add a patty and gently fry until golden brown.  

To keep patties warm place them onto a baking tray and pop in the oven.

Make up your burgers!
