Turmeric Latte – my ‘go to’ Winter Warmer

This is my 'go to' winter warmer, a Turmeric latte packed full of immune boosting ingredients that truly nourish!  Turmeric is an incredible spice with amazing health benefits because it contains the compound curcumin.  This compound has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is extremely high in anti-oxidants. By adding coconut oil to the latte not only does it give you a creamier consistency it also assists the absorption of the curcumin.

This recipe takes 5mins to make and gives you hours of vitality! 

Ingredients
250ml almond milk
1tsp grated fresh ginger
1tsp grated fresh turmeric or 1 tsp ground 
1tsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 
Freshly grated nutmeg, about 4 grates
1tsp coconut blossom syrup

Method

  • Place all ingredients into a heavy based pan
  • Set over heat and gently warm through while whisking gently
  • Strain into mug, sip and enjoy.
  • Alternatively strain into a blender and whizz for a frothier latte!
